Derek is the CEO of AOM Africa, a company specializing in identifying, codifying and disseminating best practice operations management with a unique combination of consulting, coaching and software implementation services that strategically enable organizations through improved operations.
Building a diverse professional history in the Security and IT sectors, Derek continued to follow his innate leadership to found and direct a number of thoroughly successful companies in South Africa. Initiating his reign in the ranks of entrepreneurs, Derek founded the South African subsidiary of PMSC, continuing to serve as the company’s Managing Director for two years. Transitioning through two directorships, Derek proceeded to launch Abaco Consulting Pty Ltd in 2006, leading the management consultancy as CEO.
Discovering his niche in web design, Internet marketing and branding, Derek launched his present company WSI Webfortune in 2009, embracing an array of talents to deliver comprehensive and customized services. Paralleling his company, Derek has simultaneously served as the Chief Executive for AOM Africa, drawing on nearly four decades of industry expertise to develop this young branch of AOM International.
